The Freedom of Becoming: A Journey of Continuity
O2ô8n — Oana M Karagiannopoulou
My artistic practice and life unfold as a continuous, evolving dialogue between the beauty, rigor, and complexity of musical architecture and the fluid freedom of visual expression.
For over fourty years, I have explored the profound concept of becoming—an intimate philosophical awareness that I first noted in 1995, and write it in 2007, in a paperback to Univ. Paris VIII, France:
The only time in which I exist is that of 'I will have been: a future present perpetually past.'
While contemporary science has recently begun to affirm the universal nature of human creative potential, it is an intuitive truth long evident to artists—a vital flow operating constantly across all layers of existence and non-existence.
As a former classical musician, my visual narratives frequently integrate the subtle vibration of the "one-line" technique alongside a deep, echoing musical resonance. This unbroken line acts as both a physical gesture and a spiritual bridge, embodying the continuous movement of time and sound. Within a space dedicated to acoustic resonance and a delicate poetic touch, I sense, draw, and write to describe the silent sparks of inner sensitive awareness into tangible form.
The artworks visualizes invisible frequencies, quiet thoughts, intimate conversations, reflections, and raw feelings, honoring the purity of the inner child, love, and nuanced human perceptions. It freely navigates between inner and outer worlds, mapping a multidirectional, sensitive, and multi-layered consciousness dynamic within the cosmos. Through drawings, painted drawings, poems, cross-disciplinary concepts, and multidomain innovations across cultures, my intimate presence manifests as a spontaneous connection to the fundamental silent spark of being.
For me, creative art is the ultimate bridge connecting the invisible vibrations of souls, sounds, life, and universes with the tangible presence of artistic expressions shared with the world. It is a way of receiving the universe's quiet rhythms and reflecting them back into physical reality.
Signed under the pseudonym O2ô8n since 2024, my creative expressions reflect a deep-rooted feel that creativity is simply the universe expressing itself through each of us. It stands as a resolute affirmation of an identity that transcends standard labels and rigid categories, celebrating the entangled unity of diversity, art, science, nature, love, time, spaces, dimensions, and life itself.
By embracing this unending journey of continuity, my practice remains an open invitation to feel the subtle, invisible resonances that weave our shared human existence into the immensity of the cosmos.
